OUR MISSION

Our team set out with one mission in mind to assemble the most talented people we know to provide the best food and drink in the less than stellar food scene in The Meat Packing District. We want to create a total sensory experience through our choice of music, art, food, and drink.

We are only here for a limited time while we look for a more permanent home, but that doesn't mean we don't want to change the game in our current neighborhood for the better. We care about our customers and want to provide the best possible food and drink and the best prices. We could charge more but we want to be different and actually offer value.

Every plate achieves that elusive, cuisine-defining balance of sweet, salty, and sour — even dessert.

BFB as a concept was created as a test kitchen for what we hope will be the next big thing in burgers and hospitality. Just like Danny Meyer did with his hot dog cart in Madison Square Park we are doing with our small scale BFB model at 55 Gansevoort Street. It is also a place where other big name chefs from NYC and beyond might pop in on any given night to cook with Chef Mitchell. We are always striving to get better for our guests, and we think starting small here gives us the best chance to put a smile on your face for years to come.

After spending time in some of the best and most successful kitchens in NYC, Chris decided it was time to strike out on his own. His soul focus as chef is to give the greatest guests in the world the best meal he can offer at the best price in town.
